After ten years of collaboration, the Italian brand Moschino has announced the departure of its artistic director, Jeremy Scott.
In a statement relaying the news, the latter said: “The past ten years at Moschino have been a wonderful celebration of creativity and imagination.
I am very proud of the legacy I leave behind."
Appointed in 2013 as head of artistic direction, the American designer quickly imposed his style, with the ambition of taking traditional fashion by storm by infiltrating pop culture, which he loves so much.
It's been done since its debut, on the occasion of the fall-winter 2014-2015 collection.
He proposed consumerist looks in the colors of McDonald's with models wearing yellow and red suits and caps similar to those worn by fast-food employees.
The designer has multiplied whimsical winks, collection after collection, tirelessly injecting his dose of humor.
And leaving the witnesses of his art to sketch with each novelty, a big smile.

An uncertain future
In a press release, Jeremy Scott is also praised by the president of the Aeffe group (owner of the brand), for “his distinct and joyful vision which will forever be part of the history of Moschino”.
During the pandemic, when the fashion industry is at a standstill, the American designer presented his summer collection through a video in which small puppets paraded with the new creations of the Moschino house.
The collection, first imagined life-size, was miniaturized with the help of the famous puppeteer Jim Henson.
Jeremy Scott "wrote a fundamental chapter" in the history of Moschino, with his "intrepid", "spectacular" style and "his incisive humor", still salutes the Italian label.
