- Chinese President Xi Jinping has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to travel to China to participate in the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that Beijing plans to organize later this year.
This was reported by the Xinhua agency, reporting that when he met Russian premier Mikhail Mishustin, Xi said the invitation was made during his informal meeting yesterday with the Kremlin leader.
Putin, the Chinese president recalled, participated in the two previous forums dedicated to the Belt and Road, the New Silk Road, launched by Xi in September 2013. (ANSA).
