(ANSA) - BEIJING, MARCH 21 - Taiwan's president Tsai Ing-wen will be engaged in a diplomatic mission in Central America from March 29 to April 7, in Guatemala and Belize, with a double stopover in the USA, Los Angeles and New York.
According to presidential spokesperson Lin Yuchan in a media briefing, the aim is to carry out a "journey from democratic partners to common prosperity", reported the island's official news agency CNA.
Tsai, in Los Angeles, should meet the speaker of the American House Kevin McCarthy.
