A video released by the Washington Post shows yet another episode of abuse of force by the police against an African-American citizen (with mental problems).
In the images (without sound) taken by video surveillance cameras of the Central State Hospital in Virginia, where 28-year-old Irvo Otieno went on March 6, you can see up to ten people - sheriff's office agents and medical workers - crowded on of him before his death.
The 28-year-old was held down and chained for about 11 minutes until he stopped moving.
There is no need to use a defibrillator.
In the video we then see a nurse covering the body with a white sheet.
The man - again from the images - arrived in an SUV at the hospital, then the agents arrived around the car, and Otieno was taken handcuffed inside the structure.
Here he was seated against a wall but he started to move and then police and health workers threw themselves on top of him to immobilize him.
A preliminary medical report said the man died of asphyxiation, and a Virginia prosecutor has charged seven Henrico County deputies and three hospital workers with second-degree murder.
"My son was treated like a dog, worse than a dog-said the young man's mother, Caroline Ouko-I saw it with my own eyes in the video. He was treated in an inhumane way".
