(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 21 - For many families in Italy in 2022, the reading of the water bill remains difficult to understand: almost 70% of families who declare that they are very or fairly satisfied with the comprehensibility of the bills.
In the South there is a level of dissatisfaction significantly above the national average (41.3% in the Islands and 39.9% in the South), with higher values in Calabria (44.3%), Abruzzo (44.1%), Basilicata (43.2%) and Sicily (42.5%).
Istat makes it known in the water statistics from 2020 to 2022 on the occasion of the world water day which occurs on 22 March.
The frequency of meter reading is very or fairly satisfactory for eight out of 10 families (77.5%), but also in this case the share of families that are not very or not at all satisfied (22.5% on a national average) shows a strong geographical difference, with high percentages of low satisfaction especially in Calabria (42.3%), Sicily (40.2%), Abruzzo (36.1%) and Basilicata (34.4%).
