CTU agent Jack Bauer is currently still in Russian captivity and unless there is another 24 revival, that will not change.
However, actor Kiefer Sutherland regularly speaks to showrunner Howard Gordon and has several ideas.
It's been nearly a decade since Jack Bauer starred in 24, the TV movie 24: Redemption, and the miniseries revival 24: Live Another Day.
Back then, his story ended with him going into Russian captivity in exchange for CTU director Chloe O'Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub).
Lead actor Kiefer Sutherland spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how the spy series could be brought back again:
"Howard (Gordon) and I talk to each other a lot and the topic inevitably comes up.
The idea of bringing him back - I'm just brainstorming here - I think is an interesting idea.
You could bring in a whole new cast of people working to get him out and run it from there.
