... The songs of the Lady in Black belong by right to the heritage of French poetry.

After a great and judicious collection work, the Barbara Perlimpinpin association has just made the exceptional donation of the gesture of Barbara's work to the National Library of France (BNF).

This wealth of documents is made up of the artist's work files, his manuscripts, a few annotated scores, his correspondence, and rare photographs.

All of these archives testify, it should be noted, both to her creative power and to Barbara's daily life, which she took care to protect all her life.

With the receipt of this new donation, the BNF is enriching its collection dedicated to music, which already included a large part of the manuscripts of Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, Juliette Gréco, Léo Ferré

and Boris Vian.
