"I am aware that for some politicians in Italy and for their elected officials, the issue of supplying arms has become increasingly sensitive. Peace is possible exclusively on the basis of the principles of international law and the UN charter. All other half solutions will not be capable of guaranteeing true peace. And in order to reach peace negotiations, weapons are needed. Asking for peace in Ukraine and a halt to the sending of military aid means playing into the hands of only one side, Russia. It means asking for the surrender of 'Ukraine".

So the Ukrainian ambassador to Italy, Yaroslav Melnyk, in a hearing at the joint Foreign Commissions.

"Russian disinformation and propaganda is present in Europe and in Italy in particular".

This was stated by the Ukrainian ambassador to Italy, Yaroslav Melnyk, in a hearing before the joint Senate and Chamber Foreign Affairs committees.

"Unfortunately, it seems to me that Russia has invested a lot in spreading its narrative. Not hearing what Russia is saying through different experts on TV channels means closing your eyes. Many things have been achieved, with the closure of Russian channels, but unfortunately there remains space where this Russian propaganda is heard," he stressed.

“Russia is conducting probably the largest child abduction operation in modern history. More than 16,000 Ukrainian children have already been deported, many of them illegally given up for adoption sent to re-education camps and abused. This has led to the historic decision of the Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Putin" and "we expect the ICC to continue its important work in collaboration with the Ukrainian forces" said Melnyk.
