When was the last time you ate fish fingers?
Fish fingers are very popular with young and old and are a regular part of the menu for many families.
In fact, it has been since the 1950s when fish fingers were invented in Britain.
Today, the per capita consumption is 20 pieces per person per year.
This could skyrocket with our unusual fish stick burrito recipe idea, I'm sure.
That's how it's done:
The following ingredients are needed for two burritos:
Cole slaw:
200 g red cabbage, in strips
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tsp salt
0.5 tsp pepper
1 tbsp lemon juice
Fish sticks:
1 tbsp cooking oil
4 fish sticks
Aside from that:
2 wheat tortillas
100 g crème fraîche
40 grams of mayonnaise
100 g baby spinach leaves
1 avocado, sliced
10 g roasted onions
The preparation is very easy:
For the Coleslaw:
Knead the red cabbage with the sugar, salt, pepper and lemon juice well with your hands and leave to stand for 30 minutes.
For the fish fingers:
Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry the fish fingers until golden.
Alternatively, prepare in the oven according to package instructions.
Spread each wheat tortilla with a little crème fraîche and mayonnaise.
Top with coleslaw, baby spinach leaves, avocado, fish fingers and fried onions.
Fold in the edges of the tortillas on both sides and bottom, then roll up tightly.
Halve before serving.
Zack - done!
