After the political sphere, it's the media's turn to have TikTok in the crosshairs.
The BBC sent a letter to all its employees earlier this week advising them to remove the Chinese application from their work phones.
"
We do not recommend installing TikTok on a BBC corporate device
," management said in its email.
"
The use of TikTok on BBC devices is still permitted for editorial and marketing purposes
," writes the BBC.
But "
if you don't need TikTok for professional reasons, TikTok should be deleted
," insists the BBC.

It thus follows in the footsteps of several Western institutions suspicious of the Chinese social network.
