From the Salon de la Bourse to the Drawing Now fair, Paris is asserting itself as the capital of a field that is no longer reserved for insiders. A hunt for beautiful leaves, until March 27, also in museums and at auction.


It's a crazy week of drawing making Paris the number one place in the world in the field.

Salons, auction houses and museums have all brought out their nuggets, in the hope of attracting the greatest amateurs on the planet.

And these were there - no less than 2000 people, Tuesday, at the opening - for the 30th edition of the Salon de la Bourse, which has become an institution.

It welcomes, in its case of woodwork, 39 exhibitors, including 9 new and 18 foreigners, for a beneficial confrontation of the old with the modern and contemporary.

Same dense crowd, certainly younger, the next day, for the 16 Drawing Now Art Fair exclusively reserved for the 21st century, at the Carreau du Temple.

It brings together 70 galleries from 13 countries, 30% of which are new or returning.

Initiated last year, a partnership between the two events makes the event even more essential.
