A new rescue operation has been completed - after that of this morning - carried out under the coordination of the Catania Coast Guard, in favor of a fishing boat, identified about 100 miles east of Syracuse, with about 450 migrants on board.
The unit, in precarious navigable conditions, was reached and rescued by the Corsi ship and a Coast Guard patrol boat.
3 merchant ships and a Frontex patrol vessel are also on site for assistance.
