(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 23 - "A measure is being studied which will take effect from 1 October, with the beginning of the thermal year: a contribution to offset heating costs which will be paid to households via the electricity bill".
Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said it during question time in the Senate.
The government also "is studying an emergency measure" on bills for the second quarter of the year in which it will confirm the 5% VAT on gas and the social bonus for families with an ISEE below 15,000 euros.
For businesses there will be a "remodulation" of the first quarter measures, i.e. tax credits, which will take into account the trend in gas prices.
