Il Sole 24 Ore, ANSA, Sky TG24 and TG Rai are the sources of information most consulted and considered most reliable by parliamentarians, according to a research carried out on a representative sample of deputies and senators of this legislature by Quorum/YouTrend, in collaboration with Cattaneo Zanetto & Co.
Sole 24 Ore and ANSA are the Italian media considered the most reliable, with a score of 7.7 and 7.5 out of 10 respectively, at the level of international media such as the New York Times and the BBC (7.7) .
Just behind we find the national news of Rai (7.2) and Sky TG24 (7.1).
The public service newscasts (TG1, TG2 and TG3) are also the most watched of the traditional TGs.
86% say they have seen them at least once in the last week, a figure higher than that of the Rai regional news (77%) and Mediaset news (75%).
Sky TG24 is instead in the lead among the all-news channels (83%), outdistancing RaiNews24 and TgCom24.
Il Sole 24 Ore is the paper newspaper most consulted by parliamentarians.
93% of those interviewed have read it at least once in the last week, with a transversal diffusion between the majority and the opposition.
This is followed by Corriere della Sera (87%, the most consulted by opposition MPs), Il Foglio (84%) and press reviews (76%).
Il Sole 24 Ore also wins the challenge of the web, with 87% of the parliamentarians interviewed having visited the website of the publication.
The Huffington Post (82%) and Corriere della Sera (75%) follow.
In this ranking, the first news agency is ANSA (64%).
The social media most used for information are Whatsapp and Facebook, consulted respectively by 100% and 98% of parliamentarians.
Instagram (87%), Twitter (80%) and above all TikTok (21%) remain further behind.
The YouTrend survey examined a sample of 41 parliamentarians, representative by gender, age group, area of origin, branch of Parliament and parliamentary group.
