(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 24 - A baby of just 20 days, of Nigerian nationality, arrived dead this morning at the Tor Vergata hospital.
According to what is learned, the mother with the baby in her arms stopped a carabinieri patrol to ask for help.
Hence the desperate rush to the hospital.
It is not excluded that the death is linked to a haemorrhage resulting from a homemade ritual circumcision.
At the moment the woman is being heard by the carabinieri of Colonna, a town near Rome, where she lived, to reconstruct what happened.
