European stock exchanges close in steep declines, Paris -1.7%

(ANSA) - MILAN, MARCH 24 - Heavy closure for the European stock exchanges, once again knocked down by concerns over the stability of a banking sector that is the subject of a growing crisis of confidence.

Paris finished trading down 1.74%, Frankfurt 1.66% and London 1.26% with banks once again falling into the eye of the storm on Deutsche Bank concerns.
