However, the drugstore chain dm is currently recalling an important hummus ingredient for reasons of preventive consumer protection.
Food recall - the reason is a suspicion of salmonella
Specifically, it is the article "dm Bio Tahin Sesammus 250 g." Only goods with a specific best-before date are affected by the recall, the company informs in its food warning.
Other products from the dm organic range are not affected.
The reason given by the company for the recall is that contamination of the paste with salmonella cannot be ruled out.
Eating food contaminated with salmonella can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain and occasionally vomiting and a slight fever.
The symptoms usually go away on their own after a few days.
A doctor should be consulted if symptoms are severe or persistent.
Another current recall applies to the type of flour from a company in the Uelzen district because of a toxic chemical.

Only goods with a best-before date of
February 21, 2025 and February 25, 2020 are affected by the salmonella warning.
The best-before date can be seen here on the edge of the lid.
Customers are asked not to consume the product with the specified best-before date.
You can bring it back to a dm store unopened or already opened.
The purchase price will also be refunded without presenting the receipt.
