If the strike of Parisian garbage collectors has been renewed by the CGT Public Services until Monday, it ends this Friday in the 15th arrondissement, announced the Pizzorno company.
The private service provider, which manages waste collection in Paris only in this arrondissement, indicated that it had "
signed today with the union representatives of the CGT a strike exit protocol aimed at the notice filed on February 27
".
“
This protocol takes effect immediately with the return to work of the striking personnel, thus allowing the complete resumption of waste collection in the 15th arrondissement
,” adds the company.
The town hall of Paris indicated Thursday, in its last update on the 15th arrondissement, that "
since March 14, skips have been deployed in the arrondissement, but in insufficient numbers to treat both the waste accumulated since 9 March and those who are left in the streets every day
".
In Paris, as a reminder, municipal services provide direct waste collection in half of the arrondissements (2nd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 20th arrondissements), while the other ten arrondissements are managed by private companies (Derichebourg, Veolia Otalia, Urbaser and Pizzorno).
