It is with undisguised happiness that the small world of photography met on Friday March 24 in the morning, rue de Valois, to discover the program of the 54th Rencontres d'Arles.
Outside, the streets of the neighborhood are still flooded with garbage cans.
Rue Sainte-Anne is scary, between dirt and burnt rubbish.
But, under the golds of the Republic, the anger of the people is not on the menu of the day.
In the front row on the right, Françoise Nyssen, former Minister of Culture, and her husband, Jean-Paul Capitani, remained of exemplary discretion.

... At ease in the speech that charms an audience, Patrick de Carolis, Mayor of Arles, spoke just after the Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak, particularly cheerful, as if times were not worrying in politics.
