Curiosity is alive when faced with an interlocutor - man or woman - who announces that he has had only one "partner" in his life.
According to an Ifop survey (1), dating from 2021, they would however be 27% declaring that they have shared their bed with only one person (42% say they have had more than ten sexual partners in their lifetime ).
A still substantial proportion of course, but against the trend, since the French have more and more sexual partners.
This is particularly the case for women.
The figures prove it: they declared an average of 8 in 2015, against 4.4 in 2006, 3.3 in 1992 and 1.8 in 1970.
