Irma Testa is golden.
The Italian defeated the Kazakh Karina Ibragimova in the final of the 57 kg category of the Women's World Championships in New Delhi.
The verdict in favor of Testa was unanimous.
Last December Testa had beaten the same rival, Ibragimova, in her match on her professional debut for which she had received a purse of 30 thousand dollars.
She now she instead she will earn one hundred thousand as a prize for this gold medal.
She is the first Italian silver medal at the women's boxing world championships in New Delhi.
Sirine Charaabi, in the 52 kg category, surrendered only in the final, defeated by the Chinese Wu Yu 5-0 with a unanimous verdict.
