The Théâtre National de Chaillot is like a large vessel moored in Paris between Place du Trocadéro and the banks of the Seine.
It is a fabulous place for travelling, a place for shows and meetings.
Its huge staircase descends to the large Art Deco foyer and the Jean-Vilar room, currently closed for renovations.
All the big names in theater have been there, Jean Vilar, Antoine Vitez, Georges Wilson... Those in dance too, Chaillot has become the place of creation for the greatest international choreographers.

It is also a few steps down, in the small Firmin-Gémier room, that Angelin Preljocaj rehearses his new show,
Over Dance
, with elderly people, the premiere takes place this evening (since then, the show has been on tour ).
