2023-03-25T13:59:32.801Z

'Whoever punches a teacher also pays for the damage to the image of the educational mission'. And a solution will have to be found, explains the Minister of Education and Merit, in order to answer for the damage caused by the occupations in schools (ANSA)

"If one stands up and punches a teacher, I will propose that the ministry form a civil party in the criminal trial and whoever punches will not only face the teacher but also the State to pay for the damage to the mission's image school education".

This was stated by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, speaking at the political training school of the League in Milan.

"

It's time to say enough to aggressions

- added the Minister of Education and Merit - I want safety and serenity to return to the classrooms. I believe we must restore the culture of respect for teachers and public goods. Because teachers are aware of their mission, with the enthusiasm they have despite the modest salary: they do all this because they feel part of this mission and we must restore their authority".

The occupations

"In 2021, there was 500,000 euros of damage in occupied schools in Rome: PCs stolen, laboratories destroyed. During the occupations, anyone enters. A solution will have to be found, that someone can answer for it, otherwise we all pay, not just the vandals who they have respect for public goods," added the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, speaking at the Lega's political training school in Milan.
