"There is someone who even manages to say that the priority is not lowering taxes. He is stupid, because he evidently has 10 million euros in his pocket.
But lowering taxes is a priority for me, for the League and for the government
".
This was stated by the Infrastructure Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Matteo Salvini, speaking at the Lega's political training school in Milan.
"How do you - he added - say that the flat tax, public works and the bridge over the strait are not the priorities? You don't need a scientist".
The tax reform launched by the government
, explains Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, aims to reward "virtuous companies" and to "simplify" the complexity of tax legislation.
"Although within the limits of the resources to be distributed", the first principle that inspired the government is that "the more produced must be taxed less, so as to make the good ones better", said Giorgetti.
It is "an incentive for virtuous companies, even for those that can become so, and not only, a real incentive for any economic action".
The second intention - added the minister - is to simplify, to allow everyone to do their job better.
"With the tax reform we have tried to
reward the best, despite the limitations of resources
", underlines Giorgetti speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the students of the Guardia di Finanza Academy in Bergamo.
"What is produced more must be taxed less and this both from incentives to virtuous companies and to those who want to become one. Our other aim is simplification. Because simplifying will help everyone to do better, even you who have sworn today" .
