(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 26 - "Children in Ukraine need to have their childhood back".
This was stated by the British actor Orlando Bloom, Goodwill Ambassador of Unicef, who arrived today in Kiev in the Ukraine, on his "first trip since 2016" to this country.
"When I was there I never expected that the war could have such an escalation - wrote the actor on Instagram -. But today I was lucky enough to hear the laughter of children in a center supported by Unicef, a safe center, a space where children can play, learn and receive psychosocial support".
The center visited by the star "was built underground in the subway to ensure the safety" of the children.
"For a few hours a day parents can give them a sense of normalcy", continued Bloom, emphasizing the presence of arts and crafts materials in the centre, "which allows children to express themselves creatively, away from the pressures generated by war".
