Premiere for acting star Sunnyi Melles: On Saturday (March 25) she is the decoy for the first time in "Do you understand fun?" and is hardly recognizable as a terrible princess.

She has played many character roles.

Most recently, Sunnyi Melles shone as the eccentric wife of an oligarch in the Oscar-nominated satire Triangle of Sadness.

This Saturday, however, the theater star is celebrating a special premiere: For the first time, Melles is playing the decoy on the ARD show "Do you understand fun?".

As a terrible princess, she brings unsuspecting fellow human beings to the brink of a nervous breakdown.

The viewers, who tune in at 8:15 p.m., have to show stamina, however.

"Unfortunately I'm the last to come," reveals Melles in an interview with our newspaper.

"So to speak, as the highlight of the evening."

Scene of the bizarre scenario: Tittmoning Castle in the district of Traunstein.

In the former summer residence of the Salzburg bishops, which now houses a museum, the princess receives delivery people.

You should deposit the packages on a table next to an antique vase.

But - oh wonder - the prepared furniture collapses, the valuable porcelain is in pieces.

“The tension often builds up slowly in such fun films.

We're in chaos right from the start," says Melles, who sometimes plays the unyielding, angry, sometimes the understanding noblewoman.

"It was pure improvisation.

After all, there is no script for it.” Her victims: devastated, stunned.

What the actress is particularly proud of: that nobody really recognized her.

"Not even when I tried

the situation with a cheerful 'Do you understand kidding?'

dissolve,” she says.

No wonder: Her reddish-blonde hair is under a black wig, "and the optician made me extra thick glasses that enlarge my eyes unnaturally." Glasses with which Melles could hardly see anything.

"But I should also come across as a bit shaky."

She will actually only see the finished fun film in the live show with Barbara Schöneberger on Saturday.

"I'm really looking forward to it - also to the other guests like Howard Carpendale or Markus Wasmeier, with whom I'll be sitting on the couch." Seeing how the audience reacts to her first decoy film is very important to the actress: " It is precisely this energy that I love so much about my job.”

Sunnyi Melles' weakness for "Do you understand fun?" goes back a long way: "I'm Swiss and grew up with the show.

Kurt Felix was my youth,” says the 64-year-old, who loves to show off her comedic talent to the full.

There aren't many family shows like this on TV anymore.

"It's all the nicer that I can be a part of it."
