British music producer and composer Nicholas Lloyd Webber has died aged 43 from stomach cancer.
His father, the composer and director of the musicals

and
The Phantom of the Opera
Andrew Lloyd Weber, announced his death on Saturday on his Twitter account.
“I am devastated to have to announce that my beloved son Nick died a few hours ago at Basingstoke Hospital. His whole family is reunited and we are all totally lost,”
he wrote.
The composer regularly gave news of his son suffering from pneumonia in addition to his cancer.
“A huge thank you for all the support you give my son
,” he said facing the camera in a video posted on social networks.
“He was taken to a hospice and he is battling the disease.”
Nicholas Lloyd Webber had become known to the general public in particular for his work as a composer and producer.
In 2022, he had been nominated for the Grammy Awards for his work on the musical comedy record,
Bad Cinderella
, which he had composed with his father.
He had also composed the music for a stage adaptation of The
Little Prince
.
His cancer had been diagnosed 18 months ago.
