During the night, 650 arrived inside the port of Roccella Ionica aboard a 30-metre fishing boat that left Libya, escaping all control.

The migrants of the last landing in Locride, all men, come from Syria, Pakistan, Egypt and Bangladesh and traveled for about 5 days before entering the port and crashing into another boat used in a previous arrival.

Salvini, it is Italy under attack, not the NGOs

- "It is Italy under attack, not the NGOs".

This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure, Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of a meeting in Trieste.

"If there are statements from the Coast Guard rather than the Navy, which are the pride of the state, complaining that the work is being hindered, it must be taken into consideration. But the problem is the traffickers and smugglers, not others".

Not the NGOs?

"If the NGOs complicate the work of our sailors, the problem certainly arises".

"Certainly - he added - immigration cannot be regulated by private bodies financed by foreign countries. This is for sure".
