(ANSA) - VATICAN CITY, MARCH 27 - Cardinal Secretary of State, Pietro Parolin, on the basis of the powers conferred on him by Pope Francis, has appointed Tiziano Onesti as president of the Board of Directors of the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital for the next three years, effective from the first April 2023. Born in Rocca di Papa in 1960, Tiziano Onesti is a full professor of Business Economics at the Roma Tre University and has held various administration and control positions in leading commercial companies (including Ferrovie dello Stato, Trenitalia, Eni, Telecom, Gruppo Editoriale L 'Espresso, Puglia Airports) and non-profit organizations.

Onesti was a member of the Board of Auditors of the hospital and his appointment follows the resignation presented at the beginning of February by Mariella Enoc, 79, who held the position of president since 2015. Mariella Enoc was simultaneously appointed consultant for hospital development projects for the necessary time.
