Etnia Barcelona, twenty years of inspiration

The brand has imagined a collection inspired by pop art to celebrate its twentieth anniversary, highlighted in a campaign in tribute to African culture produced by photographer Mous Lamrabat. Colorful and festive!

An independent Spanish brand, Etnia Barcelona develops original and high quality eyewear collections.

Attached to an ecological design and vibrant color choices, she constantly designs new creative and innovative lines.

Close to the world of art and culture, Etnia Barcelona has always known how to surround itself with audacious personalities to embody its aesthetic bias.

After redesigning its emblematic Chess collection, and unveiling a blue tribute line entitled "Azul Etnia", from its Heritage range, Etnia Barcelona continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary with Wild Love in Africa, the latest in this series celebrating the brand history.

Kahlo, Kennedy and Kubrick are all inventive lines in reference to icons of their time,

with models designed in acetate that reproduce "animal print" textures available in dazzling tones such as candy pink, orange, fluorescent green, white or black.

Oversized design, gold inlays, eye symbols or false eyelashes are all details that sign the identity of this Etnia Barcelona collection.

Festive and quirky visuals

A veritable ode to the culture, traditions and colors of Africa, the new models from the Heritage line are showcased in a campaign shot by Moroccan-Belgian photographer Mous Lamrabat.

Born in northern Morocco, this artist grew up in Flanders, Belgium, and began his self-taught activity with a degree in interior design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent.

His work, inspired and powerful, creates new forms of storytelling.

In an African desert setting, colorful, festive silhouettes are revealed here, where everyday elements, taken out of context, take on another meaning.

A free expression of the creativity of Mous Lamrabat:

"From the start, I felt that Etnia appreciated artists who show their DNA in their collaborations with them

," says the photographer.

Ultra-vivid and quirky, his visuals highlight glasses as much as African landscapes.

The universe of Mous Lamrabat, inspired by his dual culture, echoes the varied, joyful and extravagant line of Etnia Barcelona.
