(ANSA) - PALERMO, MARCH 27 - Maria Pia Giambona, 34, the only survivor of the road accident with six deaths which occurred late yesterday afternoon on the straight road, is in very serious conditions in the intensive care unit of the Sant'Antonio Abate hospital in Trapani di Lentina, the provincial road that connects San Vito lo Capo and Custonaci in the Trapani area.
The hospital management specified it, after the news of the woman's death had spread.
Maria Pia Giambona was aboard an Alfa 156 driven by Vincenzo Cipponeri, 44, who died instantly.
The car collided head-on with a Fiat Doblò in which two families from Carini, in the Palermo area were travelling: Matteo Cataldo, 70, his wife, Maria Grazia Ficarra, 67, their son Danilo Cataldo, 44, and another couple, Matteo Schiera, 72, and his wife Anna Rosa Romancino, 69, cousins of Mr and Mrs Cataldo.
