(ANSA) - TRIESTE, MARCH 27 - "It is Italy under attack, not the NGOs".
This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure, Matteo Salvini, on the sidelines of a meeting in Trieste.
"If there are statements from the Coast Guard rather than the Navy which are the pride of the state complaining that work is being hindered, it must be taken into consideration. The problem is the traffickers and the smugglers, not others".
Not LeOng?
"If the NGOs complicate the work of our sailors, the problem certainly arises".
"Certainly - he added - immigration cannot be regulated by private bodies financed by foreign countries.
This is for sure".
