(ANSA) - MILAN, MARCH 27 - "Diana was the most beautiful girl in the world, she didn't deserve all this, she has to pay for what she did".

This was told to reporters by Viviana Pifferi, sister of Alessia, the 37-year-old who was present this morning at the first hearing of the trial in which she is accused of aggravated voluntary homicide for having left her daughter Diana of almost a year and a half to die of starvation, abandoning her alone at home for six days.

The sister, also in the courtroom in the Court of Assizes in Milan and wearing a T-shirt with a photo of her niece printed on it, and the mother of the 37-year-old, the little girl's grandmother, will be civil parties in the trial against Alessia Pifferi.
