(ANSA) - ROME, MARCH 28 - In the EU platform for joint gas purchases "we expect to organize the first aggregated demand in mid-April".
"We want to proceed with the first tender in European history for the joint gas purchase already at the beginning of May".
This was stated by the vice president of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic to the Pe Industry commission.
"So far we have obtained interest registration of about 24 billion cubic meters of gas for the next three years" from EU member states Moldova, Ukraine and Serbia, he explained.
"Approximately 13.5 billion cubic meters should be aggregated this calendar year."
