Living three years
in the cabin of a cruise ship and forgetting about bills and food and transportation expenses is the proposal of a new brand in this tourism sector that in just
24 hours has achieved more than 1,000 reservation requests
for the trip that will begin on November 1 in Istanbul.
As reported by Seatrade Cruise News, linked to the Seatrade Cruise Global congress, inaugurated this Monday, March 27 in Fort Lauderdale (Florida),
Life at Sea
, a new brand of the Miray group, expects the tickets for the Gemini cruise, with
400 cabins and capacity for 1,074 passengers
, are completely sold out in less than 60 days.
"Reservations are off to a spectacular start, with more than 1,300 requests in the first 24 hours," said Mikael Petterson, managing director of the new company.

How much does it cost and what does it include?
For
less than $85 per day
, including all food, beverages, and lodging, Gemini passengers will travel 130,000 nautical miles, or 240,000 kilometers, on a
voyage that includes 135 countries
and seven continents, calling at 375 ports and access to 13 places declared wonders of the world.
Barcelona, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Antarctica and Seoul are some of the places you will visit.
The ship is currently in Iskenderum,
Turkey
, where it is temporarily serving as a shelter for refugees from the powerful earthquake that struck parts of Turkey and Syria in February.
The trip will start on November 1 in Istanbul.

It is scheduled to start operating short cruises around the Greek islands in these months and in
November it will be ready
for the long-term cruise.
According to Petterson, the company discovered "a long-term
void in the global cruise market
" and decided to fill it with "the right size ship and the expertise to make it happen."
The manager stressed that they are targeting early or retired people between the ages of 50 and 70, but it is
a product suitable for "anyone who wants to travel the world at their own pace
."
Pricing starts at $29,999 per year and payment options start at $2,499 per month, all-inclusive.
Those prices are for the smallest and interior cabins, although instead of windows they have screens where you can see the sea live, with a surface area of 130 square feet (almost 13 square meters).

For 260-square-foot (24.1-square-meter) ocean-view staterooms and balcony suites, they go up to $6,699 per month.
Passengers are promised
meals, entertainment and recreational activities

The ship will include a
24-hour on-call hospital
with free medical visits, learning and enrichment classes, and the opportunity to make a positive impact through volunteer and philanthropic initiatives.

Petterson said many people have expressed interest in doing just one year of the voyage, but only the three-year duration is offered for now, and he said there is a matchmaking chat
