"The objectionable parts have been avoided, what is reasonable is left."
This was stated by Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti speaking of the measures on tax crimes contained in the bill decree.
"If I signed the decree, I'd agree otherwise I wouldn't sign it: - he added - it's the signal that if one settles down, repents and pays what he had to pay, the penalties, it is a declared evasion. One obviously he was not in a position to pay, he declared and now, finally, he does not go to the criminal case if he pays them and pays the penalties".
Giorgetti also underlined that "it is also a mechanism to deflate what could be a major dispute which then never produces anything as demonstrated by the uncollected warehouse".
