Promote a sustainable agricultural model based on transparency and fairness in communication to spread attention to consumer health, animal welfare, biodiversity, respect for the environment and social justice.

It is the collaboration agreement signed by Aiab, the association of organic producers, and Equalitas, the company that holds the most widespread standard worldwide for the management of sustainability in the wine supply chain.

The partnership signed today in the presence of the undersecretary for agriculture, food sovereignty and forests, Luigi D'Eramo, provides for research and development activities with the involvement of the two respective technical-scientific committees, aimed at comparing organic farming models,

"Organic farming has established itself as a sustainable, certified and guaranteed method of cultivation - underlined the president of Aiab, Giuseppe Romano - but its values also include social and economic ones. The idea of the protocol was born from the need to begin to confront with other parameters of sustainability that go beyond the environmental one".

The president of Equalitas, Riccardo Ricci Curbastro, specified that "combining the skills of the two organizations aims to promote the dissemination of sustainable agricultural practices in the wine supply chain and in other agricultural sectors, while ensuring transparent and correct communication".

D'Eramo (Masaf), project enhances sustainability of the organic sector

"Projects like the one presented today go in the direction of enhancing the sector, promoting both environmental, social and economic sustainability, fostering ever greater awareness of the characteristics of the supply chain and communicating its value to consumers".

This was stated by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, food sovereignty and forests, Luigi D'Eramo, at the presentation of the memorandum of understanding signed by Aiab and Equalitas which "unites two significant realities and their competences".

"In the coming years - D'Eramo specified - we aim to consolidate the Italian leadership in the organic sector and to achieve ambitious results".
