(ANSA) - MOSCOW, MARCH 30 - The faithful gathered in front of the religious site today prevented representatives of the Ukrainian government from entering the Monastery of the Caves in Kiev, where they should have sealed some of the buildings in order to evacuate the monks of the Ukrainian Church faithful to that of Moscow.
This was reported by the Russian agencies citing the local media.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow "resolutely condemns the pressure of the Kiev authorities" on the monastery's monks.
"No one will remain indifferent to their fate," he added.
