(ANSA-AFP) - MOSCOW, MARCH 30 - Russian Foreign Minister Serghei Lavrov will chair a meeting of the United Nations Security Council in New York whose Russian presidency begins on April 1.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
"Another key event of the Russian presidency will be the open high-level (Security) Council debate on 'Effective multilateralism through upholding the principles of the United Nations Charter'. This meeting will be chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov," added Zakharova .
