Praton Winery, France (Praton Winery)

Passover is coming, a time that is one of the two heaviest drawing stones in the industry, the one when everyone-including-everyone buys a lot of wine.

For Seder night, for the next day's barbecue or leftovers meal, for the feasts and picnics of Chol HaMoed, and for the second holiday.

A concentrated wine week in which some families consume more wine than the entire year.

For all of Avi Efrati's wine columns

for all of the recipes for Passover,

a lot of wines are released by the local wine industry to the wine shops and supermarkets for the holiday, of all types and at all price levels, and the current review, on a blue-and-white basis only, of course, tries to provide an option for all - enthusiasts who are not at all knowledgeable in the field Experienced sippers with mileage.

Along with the wide price range, it is characterized by a considerable stylistic diversity.

From extroverted and seductive wines to those that maintain refinement and restraint, for those who know how to appreciate their taste.

I sampled a lot of wines during the weeks working on this review.

If I had swallowed them all, as opposed to using maraca, I probably wouldn't have been able to write these lines, and in any case the final list is not trying to present the "best wines for the holiday", but to highlight only one bottle from each winery, and to indicate one of the two biggest wine days of the year with us

Cheers, and Happy holidays!

Binyamina, Green Bean White 2022, NIS 65

Darom, Rosé 2022, NIS 79

Feldstein, Rossan 2021, NIS 110

It's always interesting to pop a cork from a bottle of the veteran and gifted winemaker Avi Feldstein.

Chenin Blanc is a fascinating variety that is finally starting to get the focus it deserves in our places.

The Nana vineyard in Mitzpe Ramon produces great grapes.

The current wine, based on Chardonnay, half of which was left in stainless steel and half in barrels on the yeast, gives an unequivocal expression to the uniqueness of the area from which it comes.

Great fruit, not excessive, excellent acidity, minerality and plenty of character.

White is excellent by any measure.
