The entrance to Nahal Issachar, overlooking the bridge of the Hijaz railway (which also passed through Israel and was called the "Valley Railway") for the view of the genius of the Jordan, has been restored and opened for the public.
The works carried out at the site included the construction of an observation corner, shaded corners, the regulation of the river channel and the opening of a regular day parking lot.
The development project was carried out by the Israel Lands Authority (RMI), in cooperation with the Emek Ma'ayan Regional Council and the South Jordan Drainage and Streams Authority. The Issachar
Stream, located in the heart of the Issachar Stream Reserve in the eastern Lower Galilee, is the main drainage artery of Ramot Issachar, the area known as the tribe who settled here in biblical times.
The stream, which is 21 km long, begins its journey at the foot of Givat Hamorah and flows into the Jordan in the Tel Ishmael area, south of the Tel Yosef settlement, dividing the plateau into two - Ramat Deerim in the south and Ramat Kohav in the north. -2014, about a thousand deer were counted in Ramot Issachar.
The large expanses of the river reserve serve as a base for a rich world of animals, including jackals, wolves, wild boars, porcupines, foxes and rock rabbits.
Near the river channel, jujube, palm and willow trees stand out next to holy raspberry bushes and common reed, pomegranate trees say that in the past fruit tree orchards were grown here.

The entrance to Nahal Issachar overlooks the bridge of the Hijaz railway on the stream.
There is a walking path leading to the flowing waters of the stream, an observation area, shade and a regulated parking lot.
The foyer is used as a departure point for the "Ma'ale Har Zion" challenging route.
Rami, through the Fund for the Preservation of Open Areas, allocated approximately 6.5 million shekels for the Nof Gaon Jordan scenic road project, which includes the entrance to Nahal Issachar, Nesher Lookout, Ishmael Lookout and the Jordana-Beit Yosef grove. As part of the project, guardrails, observation points, Signage and explanations have been posted, and more. The project passes south of the Sea of Galilee, follows the Jordan River above the twists and turns of the Jordan River and offers a scenic heritage trail of historical, religious and cultural sites. Throughout the project, rest and observation areas are posted for the benefit of visitors, with explanatory signage and content regarding the southern Jordan River and the entire region.

The Gaon Jordan scenic trail follows the Jordan River along the old system road above the twists and turns of the Gaon Jordan, south of Naharim.
