(ANSA) - TOKYO, MARCH 31 - The Tokyo government has decided to increase export controls on semiconductor manufacturing machinery to China, in line with Washington's wish, which fears a possible use of advanced technology for military use by Beijing.
Tokyo will therefore expand the list of products related to the manufacture of high-end chips that require the approval of the Minister of Commerce for export.
The measures are expected to take effect from July.
