An alleged Rewe store manager unpacks online - and reveals the item that is sold the most by them.
Which doesn't just surprise him: "It's just the way it is."
Munich – The “AMA” question rounds on Reddit are very popular.
The abbreviation stands for "Ask me anything" - under the motto, people with exciting or sometimes everyday jobs or destinies comment voluntarily and anonymously on what others just want to know.
Very few of the background is confirmed, so the answers should be treated with a bit of caution.
Often, however, they are so knowledgeable that one can assume that they are genuine.
Rewe: The person who claims to work in store management answers the questions
This is also the case now under the subject “I am in store management in food retailing.” He works a lot, he likes to work, according to the user, who could also be a user.
"Ask me whatever you wanted to know about your full-range retailer next door." Which - it will become clear later - is about Rewe.

Some questions are to be expected, such as education, skills, and earnings at his job.
Other funny - how fast hotcakes really sell, like.
In the case of the latter, the alleged store manager actually manages to remain serious.
“It depends a lot on the market and the day of the week.
Having warm rolls in the display on Saturdays is like a money printing machine!
However, the ones from bakers on the market sell significantly better than the 'cheap' ones from the self-service shelves.
They also taste a lot better.”
But perhaps the most intriguing topic in the Reddit thread is something else.
A user wants to know: "A Kaufland store manager told me that the No. 1 item was bananas.
I can't remember the amount, but sometimes several 100 kg go over the counter every day.
Is that the case with you too?”

The exciting question gets an exciting answer - which also shows where the user says he works in store management: at Rewe!
“In fact, all four varieties of bananas in our store (Rewe Bio, Chiquita, Rewe Beste Wahl and the discounted bananas) are in the top 100 of the most profitable items on the market.
In the fruit department itself, the four are in the top 10... Kaufland has a significantly higher customer flow than any of its food retail competitors.
100 kg may sound a bit much as a customer, but I rather think that a well-located Kaufland can easily manage around 1,000 kg of bananas (i.e. 20 boxes).
In our market we sell about 16 boxes in total on Monday/Friday/Saturday.
Sometimes two more, sometimes two less.”
And then the alleged Rewe manager also reveals what she says is the best-selling article in her own store, which she herself cannot believe: “Our #1 article is Volvic 6x1.5L disposable.
Why?
WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PLAN.
It's just like that," he laughs.
"Closely followed by the private label milk, pretty much all of Harry's bread varieties, eggs, magazines and Krombacher Pils." It remains unclear exactly what criteria he uses (number? turnover?) to identify the "#1 article".
But he should mean the best-selling item.
And of course this information cannot be checked for authenticity either.
Volvic water as a top article?
This not only shakes the head of the alleged Rewe store manager.
A user says: "I've never understood how 1. you can drink still water from plastic bottles at all and 2. why you have to cart some plörre 1000 km through Europe with our drinking water quality." Another alleged Rewe manager recently unpacked - and explains why she prefers Aldi and Lidl.
