, is shocked by the case of
a Kung Fu teacher
arrested for allegedly
sexually abusing
three of his students.
He was arrested on Thursday of last week, at the request of the prosecutor for Crimes against Sexual Integrity Virginia Rumbo, who had issued an
arrest warrant
after receiving the complaint from the victims.
The defendant, whose identity has not been released, was charged with simple sexual abuse and seriously insulting sexual abuse,
aggravated by being in charge of the victim's custody
.
He voluntarily appeared at the prosecutor's office when he learned that he was wanted by the Justice.
The abuses would have occurred last year, but they only came to light this week with the arrest of the teacher.
According to the newspaper Uno, the victims would be
three underage boys
who were students of the Shen martial arts school.
The first case occurred last year when one of the 17-year-old boys was able to tell what he was suffering.
It was after an attempted self-harm by the minor, who, being assisted by mental health professionals, told what this teacher had done to him.
Accompanied by his parents, the boy filed the complaint.
The file details that the teacher took the student to a room located at the back of the building and touched him in his private parts.
Two other students would have gone through similar situations of abuse. In this case, the teacher would have masturbated in front of the minor, also inside the academy in Chacras de Coria.
And there is a third complaint in the investigation stage.
The Shen school made a release through its profiles on social networks.
In a statement, the directors of the martial arts training institute indicated that, since the first complaint that was filed last October, they decided to remove and suspend the professor.
"In October 2022, in response to the first accusations against said teacher, the School Board of Directors made the decision to immediately remove and suspend him from all activities. Therefore, since that date he has not maintained contact any with students, professors or with the institution and until the due clarification of the facts that are imputed to him", they stated.
They highlight: "We understand the seriousness of the reported facts as well as the concern of mothers, fathers, students and other members of the School. We will always work in order to protect the safety and well-being of everyone in the practice of martial arts in this institution."
And they close the statement: "From the beginning we have been available to the judicial authorities in response to their requests and requirements. We want to bring peace of mind to the entire community that the School is working and redoubling efforts to collaborate with justice and clarification of the facts".
