All good things seem to come to an end.
And even celebrity lore, as evidenced by the story of Tom Cruise and Brooke Shields.
“And suddenly, the cake stopped”, indeed regrets the actress, who confided in the journalists of

The actor sent the pastry to Brooke Shields, but not only.

Which no longer seems to be the case for the actress.
The 57-year-old New Yorker admits today that she does not know "what happened" for this ritual to end.

A fading friendship
It seems that it was the divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in 2012, after 5 years of marriage, which sounded the death knell for this tradition.
At the start, on the card that accompanied the cake, “it was from them and from Suri
(the couple's daughter, editor's note)
, so the three of them.
Then it was only from Tom for a while,” recalls Brooke Shields, still in this interview with
People
.
Between laughs, she implores the actor, "This is the best cake - Tom, I have to be on the cake list again."
Their friendship, however, rested on solid foundations: on April 18, 2006, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes had welcomed their daughter Suri in the same hospital as Brooke Shields, who had given birth to Grier, his eldest daughter, the same day.
The following year, the two families had organized a joint birthday party for their children.
