(ANSA) - ROME, 06 APR - The services of the Ministry of Justice are active from today in five post offices.
Thus begins the operational phase of the Polis project of Poste Italiane, for seven thousand offices: it will offer citizens of Municipalities with less than 15 thousand inhabitants a one-stop shop for the Public Administration inside post offices.
The first in the municipalities of Candelo (Biella), Tolmezzo (Udine), Chiusa (Bolzano), Candiana (Padova), Alberobello (Bari).
"The implementation of the project confirms the role of the Poste Italiane infrastructure as an engine of economic and social growth in the country and reaffirms our mission of service", notes the CEO.

By April there will be 200 Polis post offices, a number which will rise to 1,500 at the end of 2023 to reach 7,000 post offices in the smaller municipalities.
Polis is the first initiative presented by an Italian company to have obtained authorization from the European Commission, which will finance it for 800 million out of a total value of almost 1 billion and 200 million euros.
