Halloween instead of Easter?

Creepy, shapeless sweets at Lidl make customers smile at Easter.

Munich/London – Whether it's chocolate bunnies, gummy candies in the shape of chicks or colored eggs: Weeks before Easter, one or the other treat ended up in supermarket customers' shopping trolleys.

Aldi, Edeka and Kaufland, among others, have lots of sweets in a wide variety of variations on the shelves and displays for Easter.

The international discounter giant Lidl also has Easter sweets on offer.

However, not all of them seem to be well received by customers.

A snack is even more reminiscent of Halloween.

At least that's what a post on Twitter suggests.

Lollipops for Easter at Lidl: "They scare me a bit"

"Not sure I'll be buying one of those psychedelic Easter lamb lollipops from Lidl," a London customer tweeted on Wednesday (April 5).

He also shared a photo of the colorfully decorated Easter lollipops, which are supposed to represent lambs with pink eggs.

“They scare me a bit,” admits the customer.

The Twitter community promptly amused themselves with the shapeless lollipops.

At least no lambs were injured during production, writes a user.

"You drank too much coffee on an empty stomach," joked another.

"The Silence of the Lambs," comments one user, alluding to the 90s horror film of the same name.

That wasn't the only reason customers smiled.

One or the other price tag faux pas caused laughter on the internet in the past.

Even if the Easter confectionery at Lidl might cause puzzled looks at first glance with their squinting eyes and crooked mouths.

One thing is certain: every lamb lollipop seems to be at least unique.

Only a visit to a discount store can reveal whether the creepy Easter lollipops are also available in Germany.

Because the sweets were apparently sold in London.

But watch out: If you still have to shop for Easter, you should note the opening hours.

Supermarkets and discounters remain closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Recently, a Lidl and Aldi customer showed what is going better in Mallorca over Easter than in Germany.
