A 41-year-old Argentine
died in Ipanema, Brazil, and his body was found on the beach.
He was meters from the sea, lying on the sand, without clothes and with some
scratches on his face
.
The first hypothesis of the investigators is that
he would have drowned
, although the investigation is open: his personal clothing was
more than a kilometer
from the place where the body was found.
Police sources confirmed that the body was found this Friday morning, but it was only identified on Saturday afternoon: it is
Octavio Iván Becerra.
As published by the
TN channel
, it was some tourists who found Becerra's naked body lying on the sand on the beaches of Ipanema.
In
Pontal do Paraná,
a region known as Moitinha.
The discovery was reported to the Police.

The area was immediately isolated by
military police
.
Then came the turn of the forensic officers, who transferred the body to the Legal Medical Institute of Paranaguá.
In the initial search, the police officers found Becerra's personal clothing: it was
just over a kilometer
from where the body was found.
Between the changing rooms of Ipanema and Guarapari.
With the man's personal belongings, the troops were able to confirm that it was the 41-year-old Argentine, who had lived in Rio de Janeiro for several years.
The strongest hypothesis is that
he drowned
.
Although his face had scratch-like lesions, investigators reported that these marks were likely from contact with sand.
"If someone drowns and the body is later thrown out of the sea, in that course they can suffer a series of injuries. It is very likely that the scratches on the face are a product of the force of the sea and contact with the sand," he confided. an investigative source in conversation with
Channel 4 of Rio de Janeiro.
The case is being investigated by the civil police of Pontal do Paraná.
This Sunday the results of the autopsy
will be known
and it will finish establishing how the man died.
Becerra, the Puntano who lived in Rio
Becerra, 41, was a San Luis born in the city of Mercedes, and although he had been living in Brazil for a few years, he was a fan of travel: he had traveled through Chile, Peru and the interior of Argentina.
In February 2016, he married a Brazilian woman, Cissa Días, and moved to Rio in February 2016.
It has not yet been confirmed if Becerra's relatives will try to repatriate the body or if they will travel to Rio de Janeiro to contribute to the police investigation.
