Far from being a problem for Isabelle Adjani, who is fluent in the language of Shakespeare - evidenced, for example, by her role in

is the adaptation of the novel by the American writer, a bestseller released in 2018. A dark and tragic story, where marriage rhymes with murder.
A young couple unites on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts.
The groom - played by Billy Howle, who played investigator Herman Knippenberg in
The Serpent
(2021) - is none other than the son of one of the richest families in the region.
Nicole Kidman will play her mother, Greer Harrison Winbury, a famous novelist "who spares no expense for this marriage which brings together all of high society", details Netflix in a press release.
