These are the words used by the technical director of Milan, Paolo Maldini, a few minutes before the kick-off of the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Napoli.
Speaking to Infinity, the Rossoneri manager explained: "Today the atmosphere is magical, it hasn't been there for a few years and we're happy. We're proud of our journey and hopeful that we can go on to give even more dreams. Dreams make part of Milan's technical and moral baggage, we have a young team that hasn't yet expressed all of their technical baggage. Spalletti? Victor Osimhen has not been called up for Napoli's Champions League quarter-final first leg at Milan.
The Nigerian attacker is still recovering from the distraction injury suffered with his national team and therefore remains in Naples to continue therapy and solitary training to return to the field.
In Naples the attack alarm remains on given that not even Giovanni Simeone has been called up who was hit in training by a first degree strain of the right hamstring and remains in Naples.
"Milan's history is playing in the Champions League: we are happy, but we mustn't stop there."
To say it is Stefano Pioli, in an interview with the French newspaper L'Equipe.
The Rossoneri coach, a few hours away from the match against Napoli for the first leg of the Champions League, focuses on the French side of his Milan: "Maignan turned out to be even better than I thought: it's exhausting for the coach because he is meticulous, demanding and motivated. Kalulu was a great surprise: you never gave up, you always improve. And it's not over."
Pioli, again through L'Equipe, then praises Giroud: "I knew we would work well together: he's a great player, a team player, generous, always positive. Theo? He still has a huge margin for improvement, he needs to be convinced." .
